Dave and Katie welcome you to 6A Henrietta Street.
Here we try and provide some information to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
Firstly – if you have any problems during your stay, and need to get hold of us – you can email 6ahenriettastreet@gmail.com or call us 07950232411 (Dave) or 07917756458 (Katie).
Parking – Please see our “Guide to parking in Whitby.”
Arrival/ Departure – We ask that guests arrive no earlier than 3PM, and leave by 10AM on the day of departure. If there are exceptional circumstances, contact us as we may be able to offer some flexibility.
Keys – We have a shared entrance hallway with no 6, which is open from the road. There is a key safe next to the door on your right. We will contact you the week of your arrival and give you an updated code for the key safe. Please return the key to its original location at the end of your stay.
WIFI – We have provided free unlimited fibre optic WIFI for our guests use. The network is called TALKTALKA8E0F4, and the password is TRC4HMBU. There is a card with this information next to the living room speaker. Please leave this card where it is for future guests.
Bed Linen/ Towels – We provide bed linen and towels for all guests. On departure, please strip all beds and leave towels and used bed linen at the end of each bed.
Smoking/ Pets - The cottage is a non smoking/ pet free family holiday home. Katie has severe allergies to pets so please respect our insistence on these rules.
Books/ Games/ Tablet - We have provided a small number of books, games, and a samsung tablet for your use. The tablet is stored next to the Sonos speaker in the living room, please return it here after using it. These are family possessions so please treat them with care.
Music - We have provided a Sonos WIFI speaker. You can connect by downloading the sonos app to your own phone/ tablet, or using the Samsung tablet that we provide at the cottage. There is a guide to using the Sonos speakers here. The Sonos speaker is linked to a dedicated Spotify account, so you should be able to listen to anything that interests you! We have set up playlists that reflect our own taste in music across the decades, but why not set up your own playlists to enjoy during your stay, and to share with other guests.
Smart TV - We have provided a smart tv with dedicated Netflix and Amazon prime account. We leave Amazon prime logged in so that guests can enjoy the free content.
Central heating - There is a thermostat in the living room that is on a timer. If you want to adjust the heating, use the thermostat, or press “extra hour” to make the heating come on for longer. Please return the thermostat to 18 upon your departure.
Recycling/ Waste - Please see our “Recycling/ Waste document”. It is vital for your enjoyment and those staying after you that this guidance is strictly adhered to.
Kitchen Appliances - The cottage has a dishwasher, and we provide supplies of tablets. In the Kitchen there is a fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, gas hob, fan oven, and microwave. The manuals for the appliances can be found in a black folder in the TV unit.
Breakages - Things will get broken and damaged. Our wish in this instance is for you not to worry about it, enjoy your holiday but PLEASE let us know so we can get replacements to you or in time for the next guests arrival.

Canvas photography of Whitby - There are a number of canvas prints in the cottage with photography of Whitby. These were taken by my brother, and if you like them - please let him know. You can view and purchase these photos and others from his website here. Please tell him we sent you!
